We "owl" had a lovely time...

So today was Miss Alana's eighth birthday party.  She is slightly in love with owls and so we had a hoot today.

Her mummy made the most beautiful owlish invitations.

...and the owls just kept on appearing...

There were scratch owls to decorate...

... Paper plate owls to feather up...

...lots of owlish colouring in pages and super stickers...

... and then there was the party food...

... all served up in brown paper lunch bags...

... which were decorated with a flock of jolly owls..

If you look behind the birthday girl, blowing out her candles, you can see some extra owls just hanging around in the window frames...

... and as for the cake...

... a double layer chocolate delight with owls made by Alana and her mummy.

Of course, not everything was owl themed...  There were also confetti streamers to pop...

and little people happy to clean up the streamers!

There were walls to handstand against...

A "small" bouncy slide and a frozen bouncy castle.

(Although not everyone found the slide small)

And of course there was the professional face painter ...

... and her apprentice tattoo artist...

But the party bags contained LOADS of owlish goodies AND we also brought home our lunch bag (as it was so pretty and used it to carry all our owlish crafts)

Thanks for a twit twooish good time!

Enjoy the extra owl details....

Max is 5

You ought to know by now that Shirley and Adam do the BEST Disney parties.

Even better than Walt.

I jest not.

At Max's fifth birthday there was LOTS to do...

and Beth was on hand to teach you how to make paper lanterns too...

There was colouring in...

...and Captain Hook's hooks to make...

You could make Mike from Monster's Inc...

There were tattoos...

You could decorate one of Buzz's spaceships...

...Or make a Pascal blower...

...and if all that wasn't enough entertainment, there was also a bouncy slide...

Before we had party food, we had to march into the other hall and kill some Disney baddies...

Then it was time for party food....

...and some of the kids were very pleased with their paper plates...

Then it was time to sing "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" and blow out the candles on a Spiderman (?) cake.
