What makes a wedding blogable?
A beautiful bride, a handsome groom and a million little details.
For example...
Crocheted bunting |
A petal strewn aisle |
Tiny posies of flowers on the church window sills, tied up with ribbon and lace |
So, the bride and groom tenderly held hands and made their solemn promises to each other and to God, who was their most welcomed guest. We watched and sang and prayed and listened and smiled and didn't take any photos as the wedding was "unplugged" #mccallhercunningham
Then it was time for tea and scones in the church hall,
where there were more little poseys.
Beautiful napkins |
Snowballs endorsed by both bride and groom |
Fifteens must be preferred by the bride |
Perfect shortbread |
There were customised coffee cups |
Now, I'll be honest, the next part shocked me. You see I follow Jordan on Instagram and if you measure his love of a thing by the quantity of photographs he take of it (which would be an insanely foolish thing to do) you may suspect that Amy has a competitor for his affection. He loves the ritual and process of making coffee, from bean selection, to roasting time, to (I can't even begin to feign knowledge of the process, but Jordan can because, I'm pretty sure he photographed it), so you can see why I was shocked to discover...
But, I tried it, and thoroughly enjoyed it.
As the bride and groom greeted their guests at the entrance to the church hall,
we ate goodies, drank tea and enjoyed the engagement photos...
We could add to the wedding post...
Indulge in a history lesson...
But best of all,
We enjoyed the pick and mix.
Finally, the bride and groom were able to make it to the goodies. Moments earlier, Amy had promised to "follow Jordan's lead". Who knew that she would apply that so literally to the scone table!
Vows in action |
In truth, they didn't have much option. Amy's beautiful and voluminous tulle skirt made it difficult for Jordan to get too close. Still, he tried his best.
Then, they were off!
Cheers |
At the reception, I thought the bride and groom were looking a little wooden.
The dragonslayer found a throne (Unfortunately for the kind of the North it was emblazoned with Laniser emblems.) |
The meal was delicious, and each of the tables had a different centrepiece which included photos of the bride and groom.
We were table 5, so here is Amy, aged 5. |
Then it was time for cake...
Enjoy your happily ever after Mr & Mrs Cunningham.
