Cindy Lou, our elf, has returned to spy on Beatrice for the month of December. Bea is delighted to see her. Our little girl who normally greets the morning by snuggling further under the duvet bounces out of bed to hunt for Cindy Lou. She faithfully recites the "laws" of elf on the shelfness that Cindy Lou can't talk and you must not touch her.
In the spirit of the season, we headed into the city, on the bus to visit the Christmas market and meet Daddy.
We did, naturally, have to stop by the Disney Store to wave magical princess wands and pick up our "Brave" dvd.
Then it was off to the Christmas market for a spin on the carousel...
OK...make that two spins...then a yummy crepe with lemon and sugar...then...
...it was off to Daddy's school.
We then began our "family adventure" buy visiting the Titanic Belfast.
Once inside we met Mother Christmas who provided Mummy and Daddy with mince pies and mulled wine, while Beatrice had a snowy story read to her by a very nice "Victorian" lady.
The empty streets of Victorian Belfast meant that Daddy had no where to hide and was forced to play a game of quoits.
Meanwhile, Beatrice made a "wish" which she took to hang on the wishing tree.
The town crier then showed us some "Victorian" toys before crying for Beatrice to stand before Scrooge.
Scrooge carefully questioned Bea to determine her naughty or niceness and consulted his her ledgers. Fortunately Beatrice's name appeared on the nice list and she was ushered onward to meet Father Christmas.
Just then, it started snowing.
Safely, warmly and snugly in the Old Curiosity shop, Beatrice sat on Santa's knee beside the fire and he cautioned her to make sure the fire was well out on Christmas Eve before he comes down her chimney. When asked what she would like, Bea replied "a Merida dress please". Father Christmas clearly did not have a clue what this was but was fairly sure the elves could sort it out.
Then he passed her a parcel and we time travelled back from Victorian Belfast.
That evening, Bea spent some time writing Christmas cards for her nursery friends.
She even wrote envelopes for her BEST friends!
HO HO HO
We're feeling festive here!
